This site offers a free online dictionary and thesaurus. As you get the results of your search, you may hear an audio pronunciation of the word. There is a word of the day, word games and Word for the Wise, a radio show that discusses the English language. Other services are offered but are not free. |

This on-line dictionary sponsored by Merriam-Webster also has various other options besides looking up words. After entering the hallway many opportunities are present. Create poems in the music room. In the cafeteria listen to the pronunciation of a word, read a definition and example sentence, there is a single question quiz about the word. There are some games that can be played on the second level. |
